Different Grades
Any
production of Tea is always divided into different grades to give the
product uniformity. Tea leaf when manufactured gets rolled and baked
which results in various sizes of leaf produce.
The
leaf size is anywhere in the vicinity of 7 – 10 mm in size. Broken leaf
is any leaf that is anywhere in between the size of 4-6 mm and the
fanning has a size of 2-4 mm. Leaf below this size is known as dust and
is made up of GOF/FOF.
